In the early Spring of 2011 I became acquainted with a gentleman by the name of Joe Conway who started a site called Wool Wood and Whiskey. At first glance I realized that Mr. Conway and I share a mutual love for all types of outdoor endeavors namely surfing and skateboarding, and for repurposing or salvaging classic American workwear garments and Wool Coats (especially old Woolrich and Pendletons). As I delved deeper into his site i realized what an accomplished author and all around waterman he is. I reached out to have a chat with him and it didn't take long for us to realize that we have several mutual friends within the surf, skate, and design worlds. Joe's site is heavily influenced by the rustic natural beauty of coastal Maine where he dwells, and by the worlds of literature and design with which he surrounds himself. In short he's a Rad Cat and I am beyond stoked to present our first Collaboration. The Northern Lights hats are of utmost limit (only 8 available) and in true form are made from "Old Man Style" hats with vintage patches.
